Shareholders & Supporters Newsletter July 2026
July is here and with it some cooler more manageable temperatures. Traditionally it is known as the hottest month in the Northern Hemisphere. Hopefully the ‘Dog Days’ are behind us, but we still see some lovely sunny days.
The private event we held last week was a wedding reception for a local couple, Joe & Kate. The weather was perfect, the Bride, Groom and guests all looked stunning and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Kaan and the team produced a lovely Italian grazing feast.
A huge thank you to everyone who lent us various serving items for the day. The items are ready to be collected, so if you could please contact us via email with a day you would like to collect them (ideally during the afternoons when it is a little quieter), we can make sure they are ready for you.
We have also heard there have been a few comments about the noise levels of music heard around Ash Priors and Halse later into the night. As much as we think the sound system in the pub can get loud, I’m afraid it isn’t that good! Plus our levels were turned down and nearly all of the guests gone by midnight. (Nobody wanted to risk their carriage turning back into a pumpkin before arriving home)
June’s theme night, Brazilian BBQ, was another culinary triumph. It was a flavourful fiesta, leaving everyone stuffed and satisfied.
July’s theme is Italian, back on it’s regular date, the fourth Thursday in the month, contact us to book a table.
As the School Year is coming to an end in a few weeks, we have decided to trial opening the pub on Monday evenings during the six week break. The bar will be open from 5.30pm to 10pm and the kitchen will be open serving Pizza, buy one get one free (eat in only) from 6pm to 8.30pm.
During this time, Thursday nights (starting 30th July) will change to a new steak menu running alongside the A La Carte.
Lastly, we just want to confirm that the pub is open as normal on the 26th July. The note in the Halse Newsletter is incorrect.
