Tripadvisor & Booking.com regularly celebrate Inns and restaurants that regularly deliver amazing experiences and award them for this consistently high standard. The New Inn Halse regularly makes the list. That means we’ve earned positive reviews and ratings over the past year. Thank you to our customers and community for the fantastic support you have given us and congratulations to our staff for their hard work and effort in winning this recognition.

(Booking.com) What a find!!! If you’re looking for an overnight stop on your way to Cornwall, make it The New Inn. It’ll be worth it. A little off the beaten track, but Oh so worth the effort. Everything about this place is spot on. From initial contact to final goodbye, the experience was a joy. Serena, Alicia, and the rest of the team made us most welcome. The chef is a diamond, the quality of the food was second to none, so good we made a detour on the return journey for lunch. If you’re looking to set up a community enterprise, this pub/restaurant/hotel is the benchmark. This is well supported by the community, from the number of regulars in the bar/restaurant, but travellers made to feel just as welcome. Put simply, this is one of the best small hotels we have ever stopped in!! (May 2025)
